Extrusions for Ladders and Access Equipment - Alloy Punching

Here we have a machine designed to punch the aluminium extrusion parts used in an access and shuttering system. The large round holes are 51mm diameter through the central 5mm web of a channel extrusion to accept scaffolding type poles. Because the front loading daylight exceeds the safety regulations in the UK, the machine is fitted with metal detector devices so that the machine will not operate until the correct material is inserted in the die space. The tool units are fitted with double acting hydraulic punching cylinders designed and manufactured by Parsell Minni-Die Ltd specifically for the rigours of punching. The machine is 7 metres in length.
