This model range is designed to be used for special shapes like heeled notches & crops, as well as regular shaped holes and round holes. They differ from the ‘punch head’ range because these models all employ a separate stripper to suit the punch diameter or shape. (called a ‘PDS’
set).
Strippers are used to pull the metal off the punch after it completes its work and prevents marking, rolling, and ‘pull up’ of thinner metals.
All the units in the ‘Minni-Die’ range have the same die height of 65,0mm (2.56”) and the same shut height of 197mm
(7.75”). This is constant for new punches regardless of the metal thickness to be punched.
Regrinding.
This range of units generally have regrind allowances of 5mm on the punches and 2mm on the dies, but please refer to individual model pages for details - which can vary. As wear takes place and punches
and dies are reground, shims may be advisable under the dies and behind the punch ends and punch body holders.
